An Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, (also known as a Eucharistic Minister), assists the celebrating priest at Holy Mass with the distribution of Holy Communion.
In addition to this, an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion may assist the parish priest by administering Holy Communion to the sick or housebound.
