Reaching Out

Our ‘Reaching Out’ as a parish represents our shared journey as the people of God, thoughtfully considering how our Church can embody its mission both locally and globally. This initiative is deeply grounded in the principles established by the Second Vatican Council and Pope Francis’s inaugural encyclical, “The Joy of the Gospel.” In this letter, the Pope encourages Catholics to extend their gaze outward, intentionally and creatively engaging with all individuals within the parish boundaries—not solely those involved in parish activities. He emphasises that “the parish is the presence of the Church in a given territory, creating a space for hearing God’s word, fostering growth in the Christian life, enabling dialogue, promoting proclamation, charitable outreach, and celebrating worship.”
