Following Bishop Marcus' announcement regarding the appointment of a new parish priest for our community, Fr Gerard Kearney was appointed as the parish priest of St Aelred's of Rievaulx in July 2024.
Fr Gerard previously served as the parish priest at St Jeanne Jugan, which includes St Urban's and Our Lady of Lourdes Churches.
Fr Gerard is currently residing at the presbytery of St Aelred’s, serving our parish along with St Mary's of Knaresborough. Fr Gerard will be inducted as Parish Priest of St Aelred’s by Dean Fr Simon Bradbury on Wednesday, 27th November at 7pm, and at St Mary’s by Bishop Marcus on Sunday, 15th December during the 10:30am Mass.
