St Aelred’s Summer Fayre – Will be on Sunday 28th June after 9am Mass. All welcome! To ensure the fayre is a success, we rely on the kind generosity and support of our Parishioners. Please leave any brand new raffle prizes including vouchers or bottles at the back of Church. If you are able to spare the time and able to man a stall, please sign up at the back of Church and take a raffle ticket (or 2!) as you leave Mass.

Food Bank: A TIN A WEEK: Our SVPs collect food for the hungry, can you spare a tin a week for this, also some toiletries? These can be left in the boxes at the back of our churches. The Lord tells us to feed the hungry, so thank you all for your donations which are sincerely appreciated.

Deanery day of renewal. Saturday 13th June 11.30 am to 3.45 pm in St. Aelred’s church hall. Speaker is Rev. Michelle Lepine. The title of her talk is” Repair shop -The power of Jesus to restore us.” All most welcome.

Return to the city streets on Sunday 28th June and Sunday 5th July 2026. There will be two twilight performances in the Market on Tuesday 30th June and Wednesday 1st July 2026. There is also a special performance of the Journey to Calvary on Saturday 4th July at 2pm at The Bar Convent, Blossom Street. A Mass of thanksgiving and celebration for the life of Linda Conroy will take place at St Aelred's on Tues 7th July at 10am . Brownies and American ice cream in the hall afterwards. All who knew and loved Linda are warmly invited.

We are looking for new volunteers to help count the weekend Mass collections. The role takes place after Sunday Mass, in pairs, and usually only once a month. A heartfelt thank you to our current team and to those recently retired. Please speak to Fr Gerard if you can help.

Volunteers Needed for Knaresborough Bed Race – We are looking for volunteers to donate cakes, buns and biscuits and help set up and volunteer on the day. The church will be open: (for cake drop off and set up), Friday 12 th: 5:00pm – 6:30pm and Saturday 13 th: 9:00am – 11:00am. Bed Race Cafe Bottle stall and Tombola - We are also in need of gifts and bottles, at St Mary’s, for our annual fund raiser. Any donations will be gratefully received, thank you.

To celebrate the retirement of the lovely Headteacher Miss Collins, St Robert’s School will be hosting ‘Jillfest’ on Friday 26th June from 5.30 – 8.30pm. There will be live performances, games, bar and lots more! It would be great to see as many old and present families as possible. The Mass will take place on Monday 13th July at 6.00pm at St Robert’s Church. All are welcome.
