St Aelred’s annual Christmas Fair will take place on Sunday 30th November following 9am Mass. We need donations of bottles, chocolate and cakes on the day. The annual raffle tickets are on sale this weekend.

The nativity will be carried out during the 9am Mass on Christmas day. Children and families are warmly invited to a special liturgy for children at morning Mass on Sunday’s, during term time. Children from 4 – 8 years may attend the sessions in the parish hall during the first half of mass. Younger children may also join when accompanied by a parent.

Visitors are always most welcome to celebrate mass with us.

Thank you for supporting CAFOD’s Family Fast Day! Your donations in our parish collection and online are helping families like Waré’s in Ethiopia. CAFOD’s local partners worked with Waré’s community to build an underground water tank that now provides safe water for 300 families. Your support this Harvest will help more communities have better access to safe water. You can read more about Ware’s story here: cafod.org.uk/harvest St Aelred’s raised an amazing £898.08. The Sacrament of Confirmation: will be celebrated, by Bishop Marcus, on Wednesday 25th February 2026, 7pm, at St Aelred’s. All Year 6 students and above are invited to apply for the sacrament. Please see Fr Gerard, Deacon David or Deacon Philip for an application form

 Mass intentions gratefully received using the brown envelopes in both churches. All Mass intentions must be made via the brown envelopes in the narthex and a cash donation placed in them or use the tab on the Dona machine. Please give at least 2 weeks’ notice to facilitate a special day.

St Aelred’s PPC warmly invite all parishioners to an open meeting. This will be held in the spirit of synodality. We will spend time in prayer, reflection and sharing. The meeting will be held on Wednesday 22nd October from 7 – 830pm in the parish hall. Please note this is not a business meeting.

Friendship Groups: St Aelred’s Friendship Group meet on the third Wednesday of each month at 1.30pm – 3.30pm all most welcome. St Mary’s Friendship Group meet Monday afternoons from 1.30pm to 3pm with refreshments and good cake! All most welcome.
